- they will be improved despite mock drafts on the web they'll win 5-7 games.
- they're horrible; sorry if they are your team but it is the truth
- The silver and black are going to the playoffs. I personally guarantee it. With an 8-8 record.
- Daunte Culpepper shoulda stayed with the Vikings! The Raiders looked comical against the SeaHawks in the pre season game! Raiders haven't gone any where for the last 10 years. I don't see much promise for this year yet, but if you like em' good for you, they need all the cheerleaders they can get.
- I didn't even read the question, I just saw Raiders and thought, no.
- The Raiders aren't looking too bad to tell you the truth. I still think they will finish last in the AFC West but Daunte is looking pretty strong in the pre-season. If he can translate that to the regular season behind the Raiders offensive line is another question. The running game leaves a little left to be desired. Dominic Rhodes isn't bad; but I'm not sold on Lamont Jordon. They have some receivers capable of putting up numbers. And the defense is pretty good. The defensiveline could use a little work but everyone in Oakland is raving about Warren Sapp and they think he will have a great rebound year and collect at least 10 sacks. Kirk Morrison is an unhearlded likebacker who I feel will be a NFL star in the near future. He led the team with 127 tackles last season and when he was a rookie he was a kid I was keeping a real close eye on. I expect great things from him. The other LB's aren't really too great. The defensive backfield leaves something to be desired. But the defense ranks about middle of the pack. I still think they are a bottom tier team but I think they can win anywhere from 5 or 6 games. Maybe even seven if Culpepper and the offensiveline play good. The Raiders hugest problem last year was Aaron Brooks. The guy started his career with a spark in New Orleans but after that he was a turnover machine who blew game after game after game for New Orleans. He was the Rex Grossman before Rex Grossman. They won't be as bad as last year; but they still have a lot of work to do.
- ha< you raider fans are so obsessed with having the toughest colors in football "silver and black" , that you forget that your team sucks. you never sign russel, culpepper is still gimping on a knee injury, and other then that, your stuck with the same squad from last year that won you guys 2 games. good luck on winning at the most , 5 games. your fans are tougher then the team. sorry honey, but its football season. and there are alot of raider haters out there, and i am one of them proudly!
- They'll still be horrible.
- Funny I keep reading how Culpepper is gimping along but I guess people havent seen him scramble and roll out without any problems. They rip the defense even though they were 3rd in the league last year and were on the field more than any other top 5 defense. They keep bringing up the horrible O line ..no running backs and no receivers but havent payed any attention to when the first string offense is going agian first string defenses they have been moving the ball well and the running game seems to be emerging. I think they could go 8-8 maybe a little better considering how bad KC was looking. Face it raider haters your going to have to find another team to make fun of to make you feel better.
- No they aren't sorry culpepper is washed up and they have no O line.
- This is coming from a die-hard Raiders fan.....They will definitely do better than they did last year, but they are a far, far cry from playoff contention. My advice is to savor what victory they will achieve, because there will likely be few. God, I hope I'm wrong, but we'll have to see. Here's to a better year, nonetheless. Take care.
- I highly doubt the raiders will do a lot this season
- yes they have a chance....... to fight for the first pick in the draft again. Two words for you "no speed". Or anything else for that matter, when your best player is duante culpepper things are not looking to good.
- Sorry to the guy who predicted an 8-8 record, but even though they do have a playoff caliber defence, their o-line is still very suspect. And even with an 8-8 record, its still the AFC and they would have to win 2 more games just to get a Wild Card bid.
- kinda!!!!!!sorta!!!
- They will be improved from last year. I thinking realistically 6-10, possibly 8-8 with a few breaks here and there. Lane Kiffin will have a few tricks up his sleeve, but they are couple of years away from being a legitimate threat.
