Who thinks al davis is ruining the oakland raiders?

I am a devoted oakland raider fan and have been forever. I respect everything al has done not only for the raiders but for the entire league, but al is living to far in the past and is doing nothing but hurting the team. Do you think the raiders will be better off without al and do you think kiffen would do better without al breathing down his neck?

1. He most definitely is!!! Until he is gone, I'm afraid that the Raiders won't have a decent coach or improve much. Sorry to say . . .
2. Al doesn't have it anymore. He needs to hire a GM and other management and then stay away.

6. He isn't "ruining" the Raiders. It's a DONE DEED. Normally, one can concoct other reasons for a team's failure, but Al Davis is owner and "managing general partner", and has the final word on all subjects. So even if it's personnel or a coach or coaches, or too much thrift or too much waste, well, only ONE guy is making the decisions. He is ill, and he is bound and determined that changing coaches all the time is the way to improve. No matter what one thinks of his philosophy, the actions have simply failed.

I am a loyal Raider fan as well..been riding deep with the team since the early 80's.but i do agree with you...I also respect everything he has done for our team in the past, presently he seems to be hurting the team more than helping the team by giving his coaches empowerment over the team and their players....I think alot of pressure would be off of Kiffin if Davis wasnt breathing down his neck..Kiffin is going to be a good young quality coach in the league and i hope Al wakes up and realizes that before he makes another mistake and lets Kiffin go..
8. As a long time Raider fan,. season ticket holder, and I respect and admire what Al Davis had built...I think Al has lost his mind. He's a senile rich old guy. I don't want to hate him, but sad to say I am, he's smothered the team, made bad decisions, and is not winning...and his attitude just sucks baby. I think the Raiders, Oakland, Fans and professional football deserve more than what Al has done these past years. Look at Jerry Jones, very involved still, has some sway, but he's not striking fear into people, he lets his staff do the work, and they've built a good team. As a fan I propose we all boycott or bring effigies, and cancel our season tickets, Al is a businessman, and as a business man he should know that his product is not delivering. He needs to release some of the reigns and let coaches coach, players play, and bring some organization.
