How can the Raiders get the respect they deserve?

I've been a Raider fan for around 15 years. It hurts me to say this, but just recently I've noticed that we're not quite as respected and admired as we used to be. Teams like New England, Indy, Pittsburgh, Dallas seem to be held in high regard. How can the Raiders get back to that level? Is Al Davis working on a plan to correct the situation?

2. I'm from Oakland and I'm a Raiders fan. Maybe if they start winning some games they will get some respect. Thats all there is to it. The winning Raiders teams of the 80s were respected. There are usually more bandwagon fans than real fans on any team. All the teams you mentioned have been winning. Remember about 6 years ago when the colts were 1-15?
3. they need to win..and al davis is way off on his approach...he is becoming the ny yankees by signing one year wonders to huge contracts..and them not producing again
